Our Guiding Principles For Reviewing and Featuring Brands & Products: Sustainability Progress over Perfection
The Circular Capital recognises the value of sustainability in our society and works to incorporate it into every aspect of our work. We realise that it can be challenging to uphold the highest ethical standards and total sustainability within the confines of the current capitalist system, which restricts openness and accountability.
Our strategy, however, is to motivate everyone to change for the better in the direction of sustainability. We want to reward sincere efforts made toward a more sustainable future while educating our readers and the brands we work with on what makes better practices.
We celebrate businesses, organisations and individuals making genuine progress
Our articles will highlight admirable deeds done by businesses, organisations, and people, and they will urge readers to support them. We are committed to preventing greenwashing in any form and will immediately take down any highlighted brands, businesses, or people who are discovered to be involved in it. To guarantee a balanced approach to our coverage of businesses, organisations, and people, we encourage criticism from our readers and community.
Our views on Sustainability
We accept the subjective nature and range of sustainability and ethics. So long as a brand, organisation, or person genuinely strives for sustainability and ethics, we won’t criticise them for their shortcomings. We will rely on third-party certifications and community feedback as we need more resources to undertake audits to verify the accuracy of sustainability and ethical claims.
Affiliate Links and Sponsored posts
In our posts, The Circular Capital may use affiliate connections to third-party websites. We may receive a small commission if purchases are made after clicking on these clearly marked links, and this commission does not increase the cost of the goods to our consumers. We also participate in the Amazon Affiliate Program and receive compensation for qualifying orders as an Amazon Associate. Alternative sellers are given precedence over Amazon, though.
On rare occasions, we might accept sponsored content on our website. We will only offer our frank assessment of the product or brand and will explicitly identify any sponsored articles as such. Any sponsorship offers that we feel uncomfortable promoting the brand’s sustainability claims will be declined.
The Circular Capital expressly disclaims any duty for any harm, damages, or other consequences resulting from the content or privacy policies of third-party websites.
